AT&T, Comcast, Charter and other pay-TV providers added 170K video subs in Q4 2015

While it's clear that some video viewers are turning off their set-top boxes in favor of getting their content online, the top six pay-TV providers showed signs of video growth in 2015.

A tally conducted by FierceCable based on earnings reports from AT&T (NYSE: T), Verizon (NYSE: VZ), Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA), Charter Communications (NASDAQ: CHTR) and Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) showed that the six platforms finished 2015 ahead by 37,000 video subscribers for the year. 

During the fourth quarter, these video operators added 170,000 video subs.
