Global Capacity adds 30 Gbps to its core PoPs

Global Capacity has expanded the its core network with over 30 Gbps of bandwidth between its One Marketplace Points of Presence (PoPs) as a way to better respond to its carrier and enterprise customers' growing needs.

Global Capacity deployed the additional 30 Gbps across two of its core, interconnected diverse national rings. This core provides the national network platform for One Marketplace, which delivers national access to more than 380 markets, with additional locations being added in 2013.

The provider's combined core network and interconnection agreements with some of the largest TDM and Ethernet access networks has enabled it to deliver services 3,000,000 commercial addresses in North America.

With a single MSA, enterprises and wholesale service provider customers can simplify how they buy network connectivity.

"The additional bandwidth deployed between Global Capacity's network PoPs expands the capabilities of One Marketplace, further simplifying the process to extend network reach and automate the pricing and delivery of solutions more cost-effectively across the United States," said Greg Hough , executive vice president of network strategy for Global Capacity, in a release.
