TDS nears completion of stimulus project in parts of Indiana

TDS Telecom (NYSE: TDS) is nearing completion of a new broadband stimulus project, making service available to some residents and businesses located in Wingate and New Richmond, Indiana.

When the project is completed this spring, it will be able to deliver service to about 250 residents. TDS' Tri-County Telephone Company subsidiary has installed necessary last mile fiber and Remote Terminal (RT) equipment to deliver services to users.

In Indiana, the service provider is progressing with other broadband stimulus projects in Camden, Tipton and Waldron.

The service provider's Camden Telephone subsidiary completed a project in Camden, Ind., which will bring service to 300 households, while Tipton Telephone Company's build will enable it to offer broadband to almost 400 households in Tipton.

Outside of Indiana, TDS has recently completed broadband stimulus in other states including Maine and Mississippi, which will collectively bring service to more than 1,000 residents.
