tw telecom lights up service in Salt Lake Valley area

tw telecom continues to make progress with its nationwide network expansion effort, making Utah's Salt Lake Valley the latest market to bring its services to both businesses and wholesale data center customers.

It will be able to connect its local business and wholesale customers to its growing suite of Ethernet and intelligent network capabilities to connect to other local and national market sites.

Salt Lake Valley is part of a broader national multi-market effort by the service provider to expand its metro fiber footprint throughout the United States.

In related news, tw telecom is expanding its existing market reach in Louisville, Ky., as well as Indiana. The expansion adds new fiber to extend the company's network footprint from the city's central business district and into the cities of Jeffersonville, Clarksville and New Albany, Ind.

During this network expansion process, tw telecom said it plans to enter into what it calls five new "high-demand markets"--Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Richmond and Salt Lake City--while expanding the density of its existing metro fiber footprint in over a third of its existing markets.
